Neuroscience is on the trail of how the actual physical brain structure gives rise to the psychological experience of mind. The key is believed to reside in the complex interconnections made by the billions of neurones which make the brain. The neuronal networks somehow give rise to the consciousness as well as generating coherence and meaning out our existence.
